It brings public directory data, transparent health scores, readme SEO checks, keyword-position checks, recommendations, and local history into the WordPress dashboard. Every locally implemented feature included in this plugin is available without a license, payment, trial period, usage quota, or feature unlock. PulseMetrics includes: * Tracking for multiple WordPress.org plugins and search phrases. * Public plugin data and a transparent PulseMetrics health score. * Readme and directory-page SEO analysis. * Keyword suggestions and position checks across the first five public WordPress. org result pages (up to 120 results). * In-dashboard notifications when meaningful plugin or ranking signals change. * An optional daily email digest. * A global directory rank when the local directory index is available. * Competitor comparisons, trends, version-impact analysis, and automatic tag tracking. * Prioritized, explainable recommendations. * Daily scheduled refreshes, manual refreshes, and locally stored history. PulseMetrics does not collect visitor data and does not require a PulseMetrics account. It stores tracked plugin data and history in your WordPress database. The optional commercial PRO add-on advertised on the PulseMetrics website is separate code distributed outside WordPress.org. It does not unlock bundled functionality, extend a trial, or remove limits from this plugin. This plugin never downloads or installs paid code. Top Plugins directory research is not included in this WordPress.org plugin. That separate feature is available only in the independently distributed Premium and PRO add-ons. ### External services PulseMetrics uses public services operated by WordPress.org to retrieve the information it analyzes: * `https://api.wordpress.org/plugins/info/1.2/` provides public plugin details, directory search results, and popular-plugin results. * `https://plugins.svn.wordpress.org/` provides public plugin readme files used by the SEO analyzer. Requests include the plugin slug or search phrase selected by an administrator and standard connection metadata such as the requesting server’s IP address. Use of these services is subject to the [WordPress.org Privacy Policy](https://wordpress.org/about/privacy/) and [WordPress.org Terms of Service](https://wordpress.org/about/terms-of-service/). The Upgrade to PRO link opens the external [PulseMetrics website](https://theappmill.com/pulsemetrics/index.html#pricing) for information about a separately distributed add-on. Install PulseMetrics through Plugins > Add New, or upload the PulseMetrics ZIP file. 2. Activate PulseMetrics. 3. Open PulseMetrics > My Plugins and add your WordPress.org plugin. 4. Open PulseMetrics > Keywords to create a keyword, then connect it from the tracked plugin screen. 5. Run a position check or let the daily scheduled refresh build local history. ## FAQ ### Does PulseMetrics send my site or visitor data anywhere? No. PulseMetrics requests public plugin-directory data from WordPress.org. It does not send visitor analytics, post content, customer data, or site configuration to PulseMetrics. ### Why does PulseMetrics connect to WordPress.org? PulseMetrics requests public plugin details and search results from `api.wordpress. org`. It may request public plugin readme files from `plugins.svn.wordpress.org` for SEO analysis. These requests happen when an administrator performs an analysis or check, and during the configured scheduled refresh. ### Does the plugin restrict features or usage unless I pay? No. All functionality included in this WordPress.org plugin is available without payment, a license key, a trial, or a usage quota. ### What is the PRO link? It opens information about a separately distributed commercial add-on. The add-on is not included in this plugin and does not unlock or remove restrictions from the code hosted on WordPress.org. ### Is a ranking or forecast guaranteed? No. Keyword positions and directory ranks reflect public WordPress.org responses when checked.
