Click **Install Now** and then **Activate**. 4. Open **Launch Checklist** in the admin menu to start. ## FAQ ### Is this plugin suitable for beginners? Yes. The plugin is designed specifically for non-technical users and first-time site owners. Each task explains what to do and why it matters. ### Will my progress be saved? Yes. Task statuses (Not Started, In Progress, Complete, Skipped) are saved in your WordPress database and persist across sessions. ### How do Smart Checks work? Each time you open the checklist or the dashboard, Smart Checks reads your WordPress settings, published pages, and list of active plugins. Tasks that pass are marked complete and labelled «Auto-completed». If a check later stops passing (for example, you deactivate your SEO plugin), the task is set back to Not Started and you’ll see a notice. ### Smart Checks marked a task wrong. What can I do? Just change the task’s status. Smart Checks will not change that task again unless you click «Let Smart Checks manage this task». You can also switch off «Auto-complete detected tasks» at the top of the checklist. ### Does Smart Checks send my data anywhere? No. All checks run locally on your site. No external requests are made. ### Does the plugin work with any theme? Yes. The checklist works with any WordPress theme. Some tasks (e.g. favicon, logo) use the WordPress Customizer or Site Editor, which may vary slightly by theme. ### Can I skip tasks that don’t apply to my site? Yes. You can mark any task as «Skipped» if it doesn’t apply to your site (e.g. disabling comments if you’re not running a blog). ### Does the plugin add any links to my public website? No. This plugin only runs in the WordPress admin area (dashboard). It does not add any content, links, or «powered by» text to your public-facing site.
